What is the Groote Museum?
The Groote Museum is a new museum at ARTIS. A place to explore your connection with yourself, your body, and all other life on Earth. You can find more information on the Discover page.
The Groote Museum consists of the Oostzaal and the Westzaal. Within these two galleries are 14 interconnected zones From communicating plants to a competition with a chimpanzee to a scent tunnel that pricks memories and stirs your emotions, get ready for a personal expedition crisscrossing the museum.
The minimum recommended age for the Groote Museum is 8. The installations, stories, and exhibits are designed for visitors of 8 years and above.
