Getting here

The Groote Museum is located on Artisplein, which is a publicly accessible square. The museum entrance is next to the Chilean flamingos.

By public transitThe museum is easy to reach by public transit. Tram 14 from Amsterdam Centraal Station stops in front of the Groote Museum. Get out at the ARTIS stop. Tram lines 7 and 19 stop at Alexanderplein, which is a short walk from the Groote Museum. The closest metro station is Waterlooplein. It is a ten-minute walk from there to the Groote Museum. 

Plan your journey door-to-door on  

Arriving by car? You can park your car at ARTIS. Parking passes can be purchased at the ticket counters in ARTIS, in the ARTIS parking lot, or at the payment machine in the forecourt. At busy times, parking in ARTIS and nearby streets tends to fill up quickly. ARTIS visitors can park at a discount. The parking lot is a 300-meter walk from the main entrance. Disabled parking spaces are available and there are also five charging points for electric vehicles.

Day pass, non-members: €15.00  

Parking day passes are valid from 8:30 a.m. to 0:00 a.m. and can be purchased from the ticket counters in ARTIS, Micropia, and the Groote Museum.
